Long Sutton hairdresser Sadie Carnell (24) is grabbing the chance to live out the dream of running her own hair salon in Holbeach.
With help from her family, Sadie has taken just three weeks to put furniture and fittings in place at Wishes Hair Salon in Church Street which opened yesterday.
To celebrate her dream coming true, Sadie is hostin an open day at the salon on Monday September 23 from 9am until 5pm when clients can see the range of cut and blow dries, perming, colouring and blow dry treatments available.
She said: “I called it Wishes because I’ve always wanted to have a salon and when I saw this place was up for rent, I thought I’d go for it.
“I got it on August 24 and things have happened quite quickly because all my family have helped me get the salon ready.
“It was scary thinking about opening and I was a bit nervous, but excited as well.”
Sadie is joined once a week by fellow hairdresser Danni Bowland (19), of Gedney Drove End, and they both hope clients will find the salon comfortable and “classy.”
“We’re looking forward to serving all our clients, especially the younger ones who go for more funkier hair cuts,” Sadie said.
“It’s a nice, big, classy salon and we want it to be homely for people.”
