HITCHING a ride on a rickshaw with television presenter Matt Baker could be a possibility on Wednesday as he passes through South Holland.
The One Show star will be picking up passengers as part of a Children in Need 484-mile Rickshaw Challenge.
Matt’s route will take in Horbling, Billingborough, Sempringham Fen, Gosberton Clough, Pinchbeck, Spalding and Crowland as he travels from Lincoln to Peterborough on day six of his trip.
He said: “It’s going to be tough but it will be the cause and the public support that will keep me going! As a father, I can’t help but make comparisons to the children supported by Children in Need.”
Matt set off from Edinburgh Castle Esplanade on Friday and he hopes to arrive in London this Friday.
Villagers will be able to spot the rickshaw along the main road through Horbling and Billingborough before it diverts through Sempringham Fen. It will go along Beck Bank in Gosberton Clough and on to Northgate.
Matt will then make his way along Knight Street in Pinchbeck before making his way on to Spalding Road. Through Spalding, the route takes in Pinchbeck Road, West Elloe Avenue, Commercial Road and Cradge Bank Road before taking Welland Bank out to Crowland.
He is due to arrive in Peterborough’s Cathedral Square at about 7pm.
His journey can be tracked online at www.bbc.co.uk/pudsey and daily video clips and photos will also be uploaded.
Donations of £5 can be made by texting “MATT” to 70705. Texts cost £5 plus one standard rate message and £5 will go to BBC Children in Need.
Full terms and conditions can be found on the Children in Need website.
