The beauty of nature took on new meaning for pupils at Spalding Primary School after a visit from town artist Bev Wells.

Children took part in a painting workshop with Bev who runs classes at The Lincolnshire Gallery in Swan Street.

The artist spoke to Year One pupils about how to use watercolour paints to produce flower and plant pictures.

Teacher Laura Pipes said: “The children thoroughly enjoyed the session, learning how paint could ‘swim’ in water and creating their own watercolour masterpieces.”
