Moulton Mill, All Saints Church and Moulton Harrox Cricket Club were all captured on canvas for an arts expedition in the village organised for the Transported Arts project.

Professional animator Neil Baker helped youngsters and adults put pencil to paper as a new generation of John Constables went on a Sketchcrawl around Moulton to either sketch, draw or paint landmarks in the village.

Transported Arts engagement worker Kate Thomas said: “There was a lot of feedback that people were really interested in learning how to draw, so we organised a community sketch event in Moulton.

“We had a great turnout of local people who braved the torrential rain to join us at All Saints Church and Moulton Mill.

“We explored the church by way of a number of different activities that Neil devised, as well as a wide range of free equipment to try out.

“There was then a tour around Moulton Mill, the tallest in the UK, where Neil was on hand to offer advice.

“Neil will be leading Sketchcrawls in several villages across the area in the next couple of months.” Photo (TIM WILSON): SG240514-102TW.
