The most costly school uniforms students at Sir John Gleed School are ever likely to wear were on show at a fashion night this term.

Year 11 students were the stars of a Host-a-Prom Show where hair and nails were given some tender loving care by a team of dresswear and fashion businesses invited to the school.

It was the first event of its kind at Sir John Gleed School where students modelled prom dresses and evening suits from Spalding shops Fancy Frox and Robert Goddard.

Danny Povey of Fancy Frox said: “It was a very good night, with a good turnout, and the girls who modelled seemed to thoroughly enjoy it.”

The event, ahead of the school’s actual prom show in July, also included a fundraising raffle for students going on an expedition with High Wycombe-based World Challenge.

Year 11 tutor Amanda Halifax said: “The students organised the event themselves and it was a great success.”
