Market day for shoppers in Spalding was surprisingly interrupted on Saturday when a group of young dancers took centre stage in Market Place.
At least 20 youngsters put on an impromptu street dance at hourly intervals in a bid to give people looking for a bargain something else to think about.
The flash mob dance was one of the latest events as part of Transported, a £2.6 million two-year arts project aimed at getting more people in South Holland interested and involved in creative activities.
Jennifer Essex, flash mob coordinator, said: “Transported is one of those rare arts projects that provides an opportunity for the community and artists like myself to share ideas and participate in creating something really special.
“It’s been amazing to see the immediate impact of the project and I can’t wait to see what Transported will produce next.”
