There was no shortage of volunteers lining up to help take part in an upcoming fundraising fashion show to be held on April 6.

That could have been something to do with the fact that at last year’s event firemen from Long Sutton surprised the models by turning up to escort them along the walkway.

The show, to be held at Sutton St James Village Hall, has once again been organised by East Elloe Lions Club to raise money for research into Alzheimer’s and local causes.

Club secretary David Gordon said: “The first show was very well attended and this year we have another surprise planned but it’s under wraps at the moment.”

Last year the show raised over £800 for Breast Cancer research.

The show on April 6 starts at 7.30pm. Tickets are £6 on the door (including a drink) or by phone: 01406 259134.
