Crowland’s Christmas lights will be switched on on Saturday as part of a day of festivities.
The 12th annual St Nicholas Craft & Food Fair is being held at Crowland Abbey on the same day (10am to 3pm). Christmas wreaths and decorations, knitted items, jewellery, cakes, honey and more are for sale, plus soup, mulled wine and mince pies, all accompanied by live seasonal music.
The town’s lights will be switched on in North Street at 5pm and during the afternoon Santa will be in his grotto. There will also be a funfair and stalls selling burgers and hotdogs, hot drinks, Christmas cakes, as well as hampers, soft toys, pet foods, Christmas decorations, and other seasonal goods.
