More than 200 people saw a fashion show for a good cause at Baytree Nurseries in Weston to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.

First-time models perfected their strolls down the catwalk at the event organised by staff from The Baytree Boutique who have put on charity fashion shows at the garden centre for about eight years.

So far, about £8,500 in total has been raised for the cancer charity and this year’s event also included a chance for guests to buy some of the fashions modelled.

Helen Brooks, one of the organisers, said: “It went very well and there were about 230 people there who saw staff, friends and our families doing the modelling.

“Everybody had a nice evening and we’ve had a really good response from people who were there, so we’d like to thank Nick Gratton and Richard Hartley for their help at the event.”
