Groups involved in artistic and cultural activities in South Holland and Boston are being invited to take their place in a new directory for the area.

The publication, to be put together by the Transported team, will help people find arts and creative activities on their doorstep and will form part of a programme of events over the next eight months.

The arts directory will demonstrate and celebrate the wide breath and high quality of opportunities available.

Artists, actors and drama groups are welcome at two networking meetings next month at Blackfriars Theatre, Spain Lane, Boston, on Tuesday, May 19 and at Baytree Conference Centre, High Road, Weston, on Wednesday, May 20.

Both meetings are from 7pm until 9pm and coincide with Voluntary Arts Week, an annual celebration of arts and culture across the UK and Ireland, which runs from May 15 - 24.

Melissa Poulson, communications and relationships manager for Transported, said: “Arts and voluntary groups are integral and central to arts provision in South Holland and Boston Borough areas.

“This publication will both demonstrate this and celebrate both the wide breath and high quality of opportunities available.

“Hopefully, it will also encourage people to carry on their arts journey.”
