Families made the most of May Day Bank Holiday weekend when a bit of the seaside came to Spalding.

The popular Tuby’s Funfair visited town with a galaxy of rides and amusements to keep youngsters and adults entertained between Thursday and bank holiday Monday.

Rides included the Crazy Hopper, Disco Fever, Waltzers, Dodgems and the brand new Devil Rock, a swinging pendulum that took riders up to 25 metres in the air.

Spalding Lions also took youngsters from special schools in South Holland, including Gosberton House, Monkshouse and The Garth Schools, for a special day out at the fair.

Funfair owner Roger Tuby said: “We had a nice weekend with the weather and the people came out to go on the rides.

“Devil Rock, a bit of a thrill ride, went down really well and people are looking forward to us coming back in October.”
