A touch of the Tour de France came to Adderley House Care Home, Long Sutton, where a garden party was held for residents and guests.

They welcomed a group of cyclists who had completed an 80-mile sponsored ride from Long Sutton to Hunstanton and back that raised £245 for a residents’ comfort fund.

A raffle, tombola, gift stalls were also part of the day and in total, more than £1,100 was raised for the care home.

Manager Sandra Portass said: “The garden party went very well and we had lots of people from the community who visited us and manned the stalls.

“The weather was with us and the total raised is the most we’ve managed for a long time.”
