The new Springfields Festival and Tulipmania event, in place of the popular Spalding Flower Parade, is this Saturday and Sunday.

It includes many of the ingredients that made the flower parade a must-see event for people throughout the country, including garden displays, craft fairs, live enetertainment and a procession round Springfields Festival Gardens.

There will also be a competition to find the Tulipmania Prince and Princess who will both lead the procession at 2pm, as well as the last-ever Spalding Flower Queen Inca Honnor who will be welcoming guest to her tulip-decorated carriage.

Remember, there is still time for children aged between six and ten to enter the Tulipmania Prince and Princess competition by filling in the entry form opposite and dropping it off at Tulip Radio, 13a The Crescent, Spalding.

The Prince and Princess will be chosen on Saturday and the lucky winners will each receive a collection of prizes, including a Raleigh bike kindly donated by Gibbons Cycles and Sports, Spalding.
