Entries open for top citizen in village

Megan Hughes, Moulton Citizen of the Year 2012, is presented with her award by former parish council chairman Andrew Woolf.

The search is on for people in the Moulton area who have gone the extra mile for their community.

Nominations are now open for the 2014 Moulton Parish Council Citizen of the Year which recognises personal achievement or dedication in Moulton, Moulton Chapel and Moulton Seas End.

The winner will be announced at a presentation evening at Moulton Community Centre, Broad Lane, Moulton, on Tuesday April 1 at 6.30pm.

A parish council spokesman said: “In choosing the recipient of the Moulton Citizen of the Year Award, regard is given to the nominee’s achievements in the year immediately prior to receiving the award, as well as their past achivements and contribution to the community.”

Nominees must live in the parish of Moulton and have shown leadership, innovation and creativity as an individual or part of a group or organisation.
