Bourne Rugby Club recently held an open day to help them attract new players to the club.
The club are hoping to strengthen their ranks in all age groups and the open day was available to anyone between the ages of six and 60.
The 90-minute open day saw youngsters put through their paces with an obstacle course, a kicking competition and also tag rugby matches under the watchful eye of the club’s RFU-qualified coaches.
The was also a barbecue while Deputy Mayor Cllr Philip Knowles was in attendance to award the prizes for the Rugby Shy competition the club ran at Bourne Festival.
The club’s senior squad train every Tuesday at 7pm and Thursdays at 7.30pm.
Juniors train on Sundays from 10.30am and novices are always welcome.
The club is based at Milking Nook Drove, Spalding Road, Bourne.
