Workshops held across the county

Sports coaches and instructors in the county will have the opportunity to attend a variety of courses and workshops on offer as part of Lincolnshire Coaches Week later this month.

Running from Monday, May 19 to Sunday, May 26, Lincolnshire Coaches Week aims to promote, develop and recognise coaches and instructors in the county.

The courses that will take place include the following:

SportsCoach UK First Steps Into Coaching at Grantham on Monday, May 19

Rounder’s Activators Course at Holbeach Youth Centre on Tuesday, May 20

Introduction to Netball Coaching at Bishop Grosseteste University, Lincoln on Wednesday, May 21

Keeping Safe in Sport: Safeguarding for Young Volunteers on Thursday, May 22.

British Rowing: Introduction to Indoor Rowing atMeridian Leisure Centre, Louth, on Saturday, May 24

Ride Leader for British Cycling training at Brayford Water Front, Lincoln, on Sunday, May 25.

Badminton Smash Up! Activators Course at Kirton Middlecott Sports and Fitness Centre on Sunday, May 25.

Tom Armstrong, the workforce development manager at Lincolnshire Sport, said: “This year the week is themed around inspiring the next generation of coaches.”

The workshops are developed and delivered in partnership with Lincolnshire Sport.
