SPALDING RFC: Continuity the key

Have your say

Matlock RFC v Spalding RFC (Saturday, 2.15pm): CONTINUITY is the key for Town as they bid to get back on track.

Last weekend’s home defeat to Bedford left skipper Harry Sharman frustrated with the persistent juggling act that has been Spalding’s season.

Town have struggled to pick the same team week in, week out in Midlands One East – and Sharman feels that has hindered their progress.

He said: “We’re really in need of a bit of continuity, we’ve had to make lots of changes and it’s cost us at this high level.

“It’s quite frustrating at times and something we need to look at.”

Ahead of their longest league trip of the season, Sharman also took time to praise the club’s fans.

“They’ve been brilliant so far and I hope a few can make the trip on Saturday,” he added.

Centre Dave Hankinson misses the trip.
