Spalding RFC made sure of their place in the Midlands Two East promotion play-off game with a 70-13 annihilation of Bakewell Mannerians.
Town ran in 12 tries under the watchful eye of England 2003 Rugby World Cup winner Richard Hill MBE who was at Memorial Park in his capacity as a grassroots rugby coach.
Spalding now host Newbold on Avon of Warwickshire on April 26 for the right to play in the Midlands One East division next season.
Town skipper Harry Sharman said: “There was no chance of us winning the league and now we have four training sessions between now and the play-off.
“When you are winning games convincingly, you can get complacent but against Bakewell, we kept quite a lot of stability and we controlled the game.”
