SPALDING RFC: Another huge game for Town

Spalding RFC v Coalville (Saturday, 2.15pm): TOWN are gearing up for a Midlands One East basement battle they dare not lose.

Just four points separate bottom of the pile Coalville and Spalding, who sit perilously above the relegation trapdoor.

Although Town were beaten by then bottom Nuneaton Old Edwardians last time out, they are overwhelming favourites this weekend.

Coalville have failed to register a single point in each of their last two outings – which saw them beaten 57-0 at home by Kettering and 69-0 at Paviors.

But they did register an emphatic 43-0 success over Nuneaton earlier this month, leaving Harry Sharman’s side with plenty of food for thought.

Long-term absentee George Brown could come into the squad after returning to full fitness, but Mike Beeken (hamstring) is a doubt.
