RUGBY: Town ready for visit of leaders

It’s a case of ‘same again’ for Spalding RFC this Saturday as they welcome Old Northamptonians to the Memorial Field (2.15pm).

Town produced their best performance of the season so far last weekend, thrashing Paviors 39-0.

A repeat of that on Saturday could see Spalding climb out of the drop zone – but standing in their way are the Midlands One East leaders, who have accquired a massive 48 points more than them.

Skipper Harry Sharman said: “We’re looking likely to be unchanged after our outstanding performance last weekend.”
