RUGBY: Home form will be key for Town

Having finally got a win on the board in Midlands One East, Town are aiming to make it back-to-back successes this weekend.

Spalding welcome Towcestrians to the Memorial Field on Saturday (2.15pm), with a another victory likely to lift them off the foot of the table.

Although Ed Duerden and Sion Williams are both doubts with knee injuries, skipper Harry Sharman admits confidence is high after seeing off Kettering – and urged his side to take full advantage of their excellent home support.

He said: “Traditionally we’re a much stronger side at home and we need to get back to taking points at our place. Towcestrians had a good win at Market Rasen recently, but I know we can give them a game. It’s important we get off to a good start and stay in the game.”
