SPALDING RFC beat higher-league Scunthorpe 48-31 on Wednesday night to win the Lincolnshire Cup.
The match at Market Rasen was an end-to-end affair in the first half. Then Town opened up a 48-15 lead before Scunthorpe hit back with a late couple of tries.
Captain Harry Sharman (2), Ollie Phillips (2) and Tom Duerden were among the Town try scorers.
Sharman said the final against the National League Three side was every bit as tough as he had expected.
He added: “It was a very physical game but all the lads pulled together for a cracking result.”
