Spalding RFC welcomed more than 200 primary school pupils for a year five and six tag rugby festival last Thursday.
The 23 school teams were split into two competitions, one for ‘small schools’ and one for bigger ones.
In the morning all the teams played in small leagues to determine their starting positions for the afternoon’s knock out matches.
Weston Hills were the eventual winners of the small competition, while Bourne Westfield ‘B’ took the spoils in the battle to be crowned winners of the big school crown.
All of the games were run by year ten sports leader students from Spalding Grammar School.
They were charged with organising the teams and refereeing the games.
Agilitas Sports Ltd provided certificates for all pupils, plus medals, certificates and trophies for the top three teams in each competition.
The School Games competitions across South Lincolnshire are funded through Spalding High School and organised by Agilitas Sports.
