Spalding RFC are hot favourites to extend their winning run in Midlands Two East (North) to seven games at Melton Mowbray on Saturday (2.15pm).

Table-toppers Town are without key duo Tom Duerden and Richie Craig against the strugglers, but welcome back the in-form Josh Finch.

Skipper Harry Sharman said: “We’ve been playing some decent rugby, but every away game is tough at this level.

“We’ve had some ding-dongs with them over the years, but perhaps they’re not quite as strong as they were.

“People will see us as favourites, but we know it’s always difficult going there.”
