Spalding RFC v Derby (Saturday, 3pm): ILL skipper Harry Sharman is a major doubt as Town bid to secure their Midlands One East status.
The influential captain has been laid low by a bout of tonsillitis and admits his chances of featuring against leaders Derby “aren’t looking good.”
With the table toppers having won 21 and their 23 games so far this season, Spalding couldn’t have wished for a tougher test at the Memorial Field.
Town did give a good account of themselves the last time the two met, only going down 29-15.
Although they lost 33-27 at Peterborough last weekend, Spalding have won three of their last five.
All eyes will be on perhaps the biggest game of the weekend though, as their two chief relegation rivals Leighton Buzzard and Coalville go head-to-head.
A big win for Buzzard would pile the pressure on Town, with only two more games to go after Saturday.
