Unbeaten Spalding Rugby Club will be fielding a few fringe players when they travel to play Kesteven in the semi-final of the Lincolsnhire Cup tonight (Wednesday).

Victory would mean a final clash with Market Rasen or Scunthorpe for the Midlands Two East (North) leaders.

Captain Harry Sharman said yesterday: “It’s nice to have a break from the league and it should be a good game – we are all looking forward to it.

“We’ve a couple of lads at University and a couple who work away too, so it will be an ideal chance to give some of our fringe players a run-out.

Kick-off at Woodnook is 8pm.
