Spalding Rugby Club have every chance of extending their 100 per cent start to the season when they entertain the league’s second-bottom club today (Saturday).

Nottingham Casuals are the visitors to the Memorial Field for this Midland Two East (North) game and arrive having won only twice this season.

“It is certainly a game that looks winnable,” admitted Town captain Harry Sharman.

“But we need to get back to form if we are to keep our winning run going.

“We were definitely below par against Melton Mowbray last time out and if we play like that every week we cannot expect to keep getting points.”

Although Spalding’s start to the season has seen them win seven out of seven Sharman sent out a worrying message for the rest of the league.

“There’s still room for improvement and I expect us to improve. We must not take anything for granted. We will go into the contest with the correct attitude.”

Kick-off is 2.15pm.
