Three Counties Running Club members Hannah Chown and Emma Sutton ran the 5K Race for Life in scorching heat last week.

Determined to do well, the heat didn’t stop them, with both ladies finishing in fantastic times.

Emma managed to raise more than £1,000 for two charities, which is an excellent achievement as she only started running in January.

Saturday saw members attend the very popular Parkruns, undeterred despite the continued heatwave.

Colin Simpson and Sue George flew the Three Counties flag at the Markeaton Parkrun in Derby, with Sue finishing first in her age category.

Ten members completed the King’s Lynn Parkrun, a couple of members finishing with personal best times.
