White wins Euro crown
SPALDING's Jean White is now a European champion after winning at the European Veteran Table Tennis Championship in Croatia.
Jean won the gold medal in the 70-74 category in front of a big crowd at the Žatika Sports Centre in Porec.
The South Holland hotshot has previously won bronze in the championships but went two better this time by taking home the top prize.
Playing some of her best table tennis, she defeated German opposition throughout the competition, only dropping three ends on the way to victory.
Speaking on her return, she said that winning the gold was the icing on the cake of her previous bronze wins.
