WAKES: Lose ground on mid-table rivals

Wednesday, 1pm - BOURNE Town missed the chance to climb the table with a 1-0 loss at Wellingborough Town on Tuesday night.

The duo went into the Dog and Duck clash level on points in mid-table and, as expected, it was a closely-fought contest.

Wellingborough grabbed the only goal 20 minutes from time through Wayne Richardson.

The defeat is the Wakes' second in four days, and leaves Martyn Lakin's side 14th in the table.

Next up is a home clash with Stotfold on Saturday (3pm).
