TIGERS: Brooks released by Holbeach

Tigers exit: Lewis Brooks

Tigers exit: Lewis Brooks

HOLBEACH United reluctantly released versatile left sider Lewis Brooks on Monday night.

The talented former Sleaford Town ace has found his opportunities limited at Carter’s Park this season, having fallen behind Adam Jackson in the pecking order at left back.

Brooks – who signed up for a second stint with the Tigers over the summer – was unfortunate to suffer an injury against Deeping Rangers in an FA Vase tie back in October, which ultimately cost him his place in the starting eleven.

Holbeach boss John Chand said: “He’s not playing as much as he wants and I could not assure him anything.”

See Thursday’s Spalding Guardian for more from the Holbeach camp.
