REPORT: Tigers 0 Cogenhoe Utd 2

HOLBEACH UTD 0 COGENHOE UTD 2 (Frid 11, Baines 90)

THE Tigers' wretched end to the season continued as their winless run stretched to seven games.

Goals in either half from Danny Frid and Ben Baines saw the Cooks home at Carter's Park on Saturday, as Holbeach finished the clash with just nine men.

Club captain Omar Joof was dismissed for two bookable offences, while Cymon Lambe suffered a shoulder injury after coming on as the hosts' third and final substitute.

The returning Matt Warfield fired an early shot wide before the Cogenhoe opener, Frid turning the ball home from a Jamie Russell corner.

Holbeach failed to register a shot on target before the break, while at the other end James Doughty kept out efforts from Alfie Taylor and Dan Burke.

A drab second period saw Liam Nimmo fire the best Holbeach chance wide of the post.

Taylor followed suite for Cogenhoe, before setting up the second goal for Baines in the dying seconds.

With just two games remaining this season, the Tigers look set for a disappointing finish in the bottom six of the UCL Premier Division standings.

Tigers: Doughty, Thompson, Shepherd (Sedlan 62), Fairweather, Elston, Allen (Keeble 68), Joof, Brooks (Lambe 81), Warfield, Beck, Nimmo. Not used: Lester.
