New judging system suits club just fine
Spalding and District Gymnastics Club had their first competition under the new style of judging – and came away with a load of medals and trophies.
Their great day came in the county championships and individual apparatus event at Gainsborough.
Coach Alec Harding said: "Well done to everyone for all the hard work they put into their training and preparation."
Level Four: Francesca Harper won the gold medal in the 9/10yrs age group with a score of 41.45.
At 11/12yrs Lois Moyses got the age group bronze and silver for vault.
Emma Coddington was fifth.
In the 13yrs+ category Georgia Harper got the bronze in age group, silver on floor and bronze in the overall competition.
Clara Willis finished sixth in the age group and won the silver on bars.
Level Three: In the 10/11 age group Jessica Wadsworth won the gold medal in age group, gold on beam, bronze on bars and county overall gold medal and trophy.
In the 14+ age group Kelsie Porter was fifth, Loren Wadsworth seventh, Rebecca Nightingale was eighth and won the bronze on vault.
Emma Ringrose injured herself and had to pull out.
Level Two: Sarah Fletcher got the silver medal in the 14+ age group.
She also won gold on vault, silver on beam, bronze on bars and silver overall.
Anna Goulding got the bronze in age group, silver on beam, bronze on floor and bronze overall.
Lauren Everett won silver on bars, silver on floor, bronze on vault and finished fourth overall.
Laura Martin got the silver on vault.
