MARTIAL ARTS: Gary and Jason star in grading
Thirty-five students from the Jon Cooper Schools of Tae Kwon Do passed in the latest grading session.
And two students from the grading held at St Norbert's Primary School under the eye of 7th Dan and TAGB chairman Dave Oliver, acheived special results.
Jason Poole was awarded best in grading.
The 15-year-old started tae kwon do in February 2004 and has just been awarded his red belt.
And instructor Jon Cooper had special praise for Gary Evans, who passed his black belt grading.
Cooper said: "Tae kwon do is all about perseverance and this guy certainly has it.
"Gary is 30 next month and it was almost 12 years to the day after he started tae that he passed his black belt grading.
"Admittedly this was due to work commitments, but true dedication to the art has been shown."
Anyone interested in tae kwon do can see a lesson on Mondays and Wednesdays (6pm-9pm) at St Norbert's Primary School in Tollgate, Spalding, or contact 07941 069510.
