A STUNNING first-half display was the catalyst for Holbeach's first ever win.
For the second week running Holbeach started strongly and three quick goals from a deflected corner, Thomas Tyler, and man-of-the-match Harry Collishaw saw them take control of the first half.
An improving defence saw Antony Richardson switch to the centre and he was ably supported by Edward Lanning and Scott Croxford, which meant that keeper Matthew Wilshire had little to do in the first half, although the home team got a goal back just before the break.
A late breakaway led to Wasps' second goal, but Holbeach held on for a landmark win.

FREE-SCORING Spalding cruised into the next round of the PFA Cup as Jordan Hayes helped himself to a fourth hat-trick of the season.
It was Sawtry who took the lead with a scrappy opener, but Athletic were soon level when Alex Lyon picked out man-of-the-match Eddie Lattimore, who headed home.
Hayes then stamped his authority on the game with an emphatic first goal, curling his shot into the top corner.
His second came from the spot after he was brought down, before tapping home a third following fine work from the unselfish Lattimore.
Lyon smashed home a cracking fifth direct from a free-kick, and Pierce Scourfield rounded off the scoring.
Manager Phil Hayes said: "I was pleased with a good all-round performance by the team and I'm looking forward to the next round."

NETTLEHAM U/14s 3
ON-SONG Nettleham had just too much for the Tigers.
Holbeach showed good composure against a side that had bagged 20 goals in their past three games, with Grimwood, Williams and Rackham all going close.
Good defending by Whitworth, Wood, Richardson and Dicker, coupled with a string of stunning saves from McCready kept Nettleham at bay until the 60 minute mark - when they fired two goals in as many minutes.
Wood pulled one back, but as Holbeach pushed forward in search of an equaliser, they were hit on the break.

GLINTON ORANGE U/14s 1
A LIGHTNING start handed Yellow a hard-fought victory.
Tom Coote had already seen a good effort saved before Matt Taylor's cross allowed Craig Weightman to open the scoring on three minutes.
Yellow increased their lead after 12 minutes, Taylor firing home after a good ball from Coote.
Weightman hit a post, Alex Vassalo curled a shot just wide and Ben Nottingham saw his long range free kick tipped over as Holbeach went for the jugular.
Glinton pulled a goal back just before the break, thanks to a good finish which gave Conor Cable no chance.
Glinton almost levelled the scores in the early minutes of the second half but this time it was Chris Briggs who was on hand to clear off the line.
Nottingham and Briggs were outstanding in the centre of the defence.

GLINTON UTD U/12s 1
CHANDLER Edwards scored his first goal in three seasons as Spalding eased into the next round of the League Cup.
Robbie Thurston opened the scoring before Sam Young and Sam Smith made it 3-0.
Glinton started the second half well and pulled one back.
But Smith added another and good Spalding pressure forced an own goal, before Simon Bell and then Edwards rounded off the scoring.

THE young Tigers' stop-start season hit the skids again.
This heavy defeat was a closer game than the scoreline suggests.
Wasps took the lead with a swirling free kick before Harry Hagon Smith equalised direct from a corner.
The game then turned as Holbeach's appeals for what looked a clear penalty were turned down - and the home side scored soon after.
Wasps' ability to convert their chances then proved the difference between the two sides, and the absence of Tigers leading scorer Harry Ford clearly showed.

LEVERINGTON U/10s 3
HOLBEACH UTD U/10s 2
HOLBEACH slipped to their first defeat of the season.
The first half was an even game, but Leverington soon went 2-0 up.
Good corners from Stefan Gostic and Mason wreaked havoc at the other end, but Holbeach were unable to reduce the deficit before the interval.
Rajang Sangha pulled one back - and then had a second ruled out for handball.
A defensive mistake allowed Leverington to restore their two-goal cushion, but the Tigers refused to lie down and Gostic's fine strike made it 3-2.
GUNTHORPE HARRIERS U/10s 0
PINCHBECK UTD U/10s 2
PINCHBECK dug deep to produce a cracking cup upset.
Gunthorpe were tipped to win by many, but it was the away side that went ahead courtesy of a clinical finish from Jack Brown.
Excellent team play led to an almost identical goal by the same player moments later.
Despite losing key player Jacko Withers to an achilles injury just before half-time, United defended valiantly and held on to their lead.
Pinchbeck were then unlucky not to extend their lead after a fine effort from Brandon Mahon hit the crossbar. Peterborough & District League

CROWLAND TOWN 0
A BEN Harris strike ten minutes from time secured a deserved victory for Pinchbeck.
With awful conditions making flowing play impossible, United were forced to play a more direct style.
Pinchbeck dominated the game against their relegation-threatened rivals, but were denied by the woodwork and keeper.

LONG SUTTON ATH 3
SUTTON threw away two valuable points by conceding three goals in the last 20 minutes of the game.
Playing in gale force conditions, Sutton lead 3-0 at half time.
Matty Radeloff opened the scoring with a well-taken free kick, Daniel Piccaver and Radeloff again did the damage.
Sutton should have scored at least another three goals after the break which would of made the game well and truly safe, but to Warboys credit they battled back to level.
Sutton's Reserves were beaten 2-0 by Langtoft's second string, courtesy of a neat finish and a keeping error.

GATES continued their 100 per cent league record, but never found their best form.
They dominated the first half but fell behind from the spot after Jamie Robinson fouled Jon Turner in the box on the stroke of half time.
Simon Jackson then came off the bench to spark the Gates into life.
Jord Halifax levelled the game up after cutting in from the left wing and unleashing a stunning strike into the top right corner from 35 yards.
Gates then took charge and were eventually in the lead when Jackson's through ball was met by Nick Cott, who rounded keeper Paul Sellars before tapping into an empty net.
WHAPLODE DROVE 1
JUBILEE 2
JUBILEE took the honours in an excellent match.
Within a minute Jubilee were ahead, fine work from Olly Barwell and Luke Chilvers setting up Leigh Boekestyn to fire home.
Drove levelled straight from the re-start, setting the tone for an excellent game as both sides continued to create and miss chances.
The Jubilee winner came mid-way through the second half, Lewis Field's long-range free-kick deceiving everyone en route to finding the net.
Outstanding for Jubilee were skipper Dan Brackenbury and the industrious Barwell.
