LOCAL FOOTBALL: Brown at the double as Pinchbeck make final
PINCHBECK UTD U/10s 2 BOURNE TOWN CLARET U/10s 1
THIS season just gets better and better for Pinchbeck, who booked their spot in the League Cup final.
In a highly-charged and fast-paced encounter, it was the home side who dominated the first half.
The midfield trio of Mahon, Withers and Reith-Hurd were outstanding, but it was a solo effort from striker Jack Brown that broke the deadlock.
An exquisite passing move between BJ Mahon and Brown on the left flank soon after led to a second goal for Brown.
In the second half Bourne battled back but keeper Zack Brown and defenders Lewis Harker and Joe Stevens were in fine form.
All credit to Bourne who maintained the pressure and were finally rewarded with an excellent strike from the edge of the box.
The boys are now looking forward to a final against Deeping Rangers Blue.

The Holbeach side passed the ball around confidently and it wasn't long before Mitchell opened the scoring.
Waterfall extended the lead and Lachasseigne added a third before the hosts pulled one back on the break.
And it wasn't long before goals from Uglow, Dormor, Waterfall and man-of-the-match Mitchell put the game beyond doubt. March pulled one back near the end.

(After extra time)
WHAT an advert this was for under-12s football.
This Lincs Cup semi-final had a very tight first half with very few chances.
The second half started with the Tigers on top, with Daniel Penney causing problems down the right.
His cross found Jordan Keeble in the box and he made no mistake to put the Tigers 1-0 up. But Discoveries scored a devastating leveller with 30 seconds to go.
This seemed to knock the stuffing out of the Tigers, who lost in extra time.
BOURNE RED U/12s 2
SPALDING ATH U/12s 0
BOURNE edged this entertaining game which was played in a good spirit.Red took the lead in the first half but Spalding had plenty of chances with Sam Smith rounding the keeper before firing wide.
It was all Spalding in the second half, with Smith, Max Cooper, Robbie Thurston and Alfie Davies all denied by the excellent Bourne keeper.
Spalding's giant keeper Ryan Plant also made some great saves but Bourne hit them on the counter and got their second goal.
HOLBEACH UTD U/11s 5
LEVERINGTON U/11s 0
HOLBEACH ran out winners in a game that was closer than the scoreline might suggest.
Two competitive teams matched each other across the pitch but when Holbeach spread the ball to the wings, some good work from Dom Ford and Mike Palmer brought dividends.
Goals came from Harry Ford, Palmer, Dom Ford and Tyler Cuthbert, with the pick of the bunch a Danny Farrell screamer.

KINGS CLIFFE RES 2
TOM Panton struck a glorious late winner to set-up a PFA Junior Cup final with rivals Moulton Harrox.
With extra time looming, Panton smashed home a stunning volley into the top corner to secure a famous victory.
Ben Allen and Sam Munton had earlier struck as Pinchbeck came from 2-0 down.
Match-winner Panton said: "This was a great team victory and, provided we win, it doesn't matter who scores the goals.
"Bring on the final!"
Pinchbeck dominated proceedings for much of the first half but against the run of play Cliffe raced into a two-goal lead. Pinchbeck were much brighter at the start of the second half though and they hit back through Allen.
With 15 minutes to go, Munton drove a well-placed shot across the keeper - setting the scene for Panton's late heroics.

Martin Gordon shocked the Premier Division side with a goal on eight minutes, finishing well after fine play from Mikey Cartlidge.
On 17 minutes Spilsby drew level with a free header at the back post.
This inspired Spalding and only a few minutes later Cartlidge beat the keeper to make it 2-1.
With Hempsall and man-of-the-match Cherry in fine form and Rabiega and Simpson bossing the midfield, Town added another goal through the prolific Cartlidge.
Spilsby grabbed their second goal late on.
