The 18th annual Gareth Hicks Memorial Trophy at Spalding Indoor Bowls Club raised an impressive £230 for charity.

The event saw 12 senior Spalding bowlers join forces with 24 junior members of various clubs from throughout the county(Skegness, Stamford, Sutton St James and Spalding).

Played as a two-bowl triples competition, one senior member teamed-up with two juniors.

They played three games of 50 minutes each, with the senior playing with a different pair of juniors each time.

The eventual winners were Katie Bailey (Stamford) and Jonathan Field from Spalding. With the runners up Liam Stanley and Danielle Wild both from Spalding. All other competing juniors received a trophy too.

The winning senior was Bob Davis, with Scott Dunham the runner up. Trophies were donated and presented by Gareth’s parents Graham and Julie Hicks.
