DARTS: Tilley gets praise for hard work

LEGENDARY Spalding darting figure Ian Tilley has been praised following his decision to step down as chairman of the Lincolnshire County Darts Organisation.

Tilley resigned after over 16 years with the body, following a fall-out with a senior committee member.

Andy Chilton has since been named as his successor in the role.

A statement from the LCDO said: "Lincolnshire County Darts Organisation would like to take this opportunity to thank both Ian Tilley and his hard-working wife Diane for their enduring contributions over the last 16 or so years.

"Ian felt the need to go public last week with his resignation and we felt that we should as an organisation respect this decision and extend both our personal and conjoined thoughts to him.

"We wish him well in any future darting role, wherever that may take him."
