DARTS: Riverside teams top after flawless starts
THE Pinchbeck and District League season couldn't have started much better for both Riverside teams.
Both boast 100 per cent records from four games apiece, and consequently top their respective divisions.
The A team are sitting pretty in Division B, as their 13-8 win at Duke of York allowed them to open up a 12 point gap at the top.
Andy Taylor nailed a 180 for the leaders, while Lee France checked out with an impressive 114.
The B team were in equally emphatic form in the top flight, but their lead at the top is a narrow four points.
Fisherman's Arms B were dispatched 16-5, although Nigel Goodwin did manage a maximum for the losers.
Anchor are hot on their tails in second, after a dominant 17-4 success over Vine.
There was a bright spot for winless basement side Vine, with Larry Bedden checking out with an excellent 113.
DUN Cow look like they'll take some stopping in Division One of the Spalding and District Ladies League.
The leaders are four points clear at the top after securing a seventh win from seven games last week.
Dawn Wright and Pam Ivatt clinched a 10-8 victory for the Cowbit side in their latest fixture at Fenway A.
Elsewhere, Di Langston threw a super 180 in Riverside's 11-7 success at Blue Bell.
The scoreline sees Riverside move four points ahead of their most recent victims.
In Division Two, a maximum from Chris Langford helped Fenway B move alongside Horse and Groom at the top.
They won all five of their singles matches at Bell A, to secure a 10-8 triumph.
Bell B are now third after a 10-8 win of their own at Ship A.
Red-hot Sam Gregory all-but sealed the result by winning the final singles contest 3-0.
King's Head march on in the basement division, after a dominant 14-4 romp at Tigers.
Chris Hardy top scored with 159 for the hosts, but she couldn't stop a seventh-straight win for the leaders.
Meanwhile, Lynne Murch notched a pair of 140s to help her Jolly Crispin side see off Lamb and Flag 11-7.
IT'S shaping up to be an exciting title race in the top flight of the Aron Moyses Spalding Town League .
Top two Anchor B and Fenway A are going great guns at the top, and both posted whopping 18-3 wins last week.

League newcomers Brennan's Bar racked up their second win of the season in Division Two,
They rose to see off Royal Mail Cart A 11-10, with Phil Coupland and Scott Brookes taking the decisive doubles clash.
TIGERS A took the spoils in an early season tussle at the top of the Gedney Hill and District League Division One.
They saw off New Saracen's head C 16-11 in a battle of the unbeaten sides, and moved two points clear in the process.
Mark Horspool did manage a 180 for NSH, but it was ultimately in vain.Steve Senior was another to throw a maximum on the losing side, as Granary A bagged their first win of the season at Rose and Crown B.
Bull's Ricky Henson was the only other player to pepper the treble 20 throughout the other two divisions.
His maximum throw helped Bull beat Long Sutton RBL A 18-10 in the second tier.
CHRIS Sams Pearce grabbed the 60 top prize in the British Legion Darts Open.
He saw off Wayne Merrison 3-0 in the final, and threw three 180s in the competition.
Runner-up Merrison picked up 30 for his efforts, while semi-finalists Nigel Fines and Phil Newton pocketed 10.
