DARTS: Anchor end Fenway's super winning streak
FENWAY A finally tasted an Aron Moyses Spalding Town League Division One defeat last week.
After reeling off a flawless ten wins on the spin, Anchor B dealt them a 4-3 loss to end the stunning streak.
Steve Urch and Nick Moyses both threw 180s in a high-quality clash, that also saw Sam Roberts throw 11 scores of 100 or more.
Urch also managed a cracking 14-dart leg.
Anchor A take over at the top after they coasting past Royal Mail Cart 6-1.
Tony Hillyard fired a maximum for the new leaders, for whom B Allison also managed an 18-dart leg.
Towards the foot, Lincoln Arms A jumped up a few places by seeing off Hole in The Wall B 4-3.
Paul Harris and Nick Stevens both fired 180s in the contest.
In Division Two, Fenway C made it a perfect 12 by dispatching second-placed Lincoln Arms B.
The leaders are now four points clear at the top - and they owe it to a super start.
After K Rolfe took the opener for Lincoln Arms, P Coupland, I Williamson, R Avery and C Page reeled off the next four sets to wrap up a potentially vital success for the visitors.
There was also a good win for Hole in The Wall C over Drayman's Arms.
S Taylor managed a 110 check-out as the hosts defeated Drayman's Arms A 5-2.
Elsewhere, Vine edged past Drayman's Arms B 4-3 thanks to a doubles win from Keith Amess and Neil Amess.
RESURGENT Wildfowler propelled themselves into the Spalding and District League Division Two promotion picture by dramatically beating the champions on the final day of the season.
After a slow start to the campaign, they have jumped from the bottom two to the top two by catching up on a number of rescheduled games.
And they handed New Saracen's Head A only their second defeat of the season on final round of fixtures, thanks to a stunning comeback.
Trailing 4-0 with five to play, Tony Middleton, Val Wilson, Nick Horspool and Melvyn Edwards rallied to level the scores.
Robin Fines then completed the turnaround for Wildfowler, knocking off Alan Wright 2-0 in the decisive clash to seal a memorable win.
Landlord Phil Mountfield said: "I wish to congratulate the 'struggling' side on a first class season.It's a shame the season doesn't go into extra time as we're really finding our form."
With matches still to be played after the close of the campaign, the final standings are yet to be decided - leaving Wildfowler level-pegging with BSC in second spot with a game each remaining.
In the top flight, New Saracen's Head C completed an excellent season with a dominant 7-2 triumph over Rose and Crown B.
Brian Fines, Duncan Hunt, Alex Gostic and Barry Tice all threw 180 maximums in the tie, which yielded Saracen's tenth win from 12 games.
But second-placed Tigers A still hold all the aces after they bagged a 6-3 success at Lamb and Flag A.
Cameron Flowers nailed a 180 for the visitors, who are two points off the pace with a further pair of fixtures to complete.
All fixtures have been completed in Division Three, leaving a three-way tie at the summit.
Robin Hood beat leaders Horse and Groom 5-4 to join them on 16 points, with a near identical record.
Jordan Cowling's last-gasp victory over Sean Brothwell did the damage for Hood.
The other tied at the summit are Rose and Crown A, who finished with a flourish against poor old Maples.
Crown raced to an 8-1 win, ensuring that Maples end their first season in the league with 12 defeats from 12.
