Perennial Holbeach and District Darts League rivals New Saracen’s Head C and Tigers A battled out an early season cracker last week.
The Division One tussle went the way of defending champions NSH C 14-10, as they stretched their unbeaten start to the new campaign to three games.
In a match packed with highlights, Tigers’ Charlie Bond pulled off a 180 maximum, a 110 game shot and an 18-dart leg.
There was a 130 checkout from Saracen’s Simon Hill too, while Kelvin Crane finished on 109. John Walker needed just 15 darts in one of his legs, a feat matched by Mark Horspool.
Gary Mace, Dave Piccaver, Duncan Hunt and Horspool all produced 18 dart legs as well, in one of the games of the season so far.
Elsewhere in the top flight, Stu Seaton nailed a 116 checkout in Five Bells C’s massive 16-3 success at Bull B.
In Division Two, Dave Wilson nailed a 180 for Long Sutton RBL A – but saw his side beaten 13-4 at Horse and Groom B, who stay perfect at the top.
Bull A are second following their 14-6 victory at Long Sutton RBL B.
l A 180 from Kelvin Crane helped Black Lion make it two wins from as many games in Spalding and District League Division One. His side beat Wildfowler 7-2 at home, with Gary Mace, Dan Carnell, Claire Ball and Robbie Dunmore among the others to throw 140.
There were ton throws galore in the Division Two clash between Elizabethan and Rose and Crown. Shaun Biggs led the way for Crown – who won 7-2 – with a 180, while Dougie McInerney (140), Des Ford (140) and Gavin Cole (140) also scored well.
Also in the second tier, Sharon Boldy hit a 180 in Jolly Farmer B’s 6-3 success over Whaplode Drove. Dave Kirchin, Stuart Norton and Joel Shears all managed 140s as Abbey knocked off Bell 7-2, while Paul Brown and Dave Elsey both scored 133 in Ship’s 5-4 win at Maples.

A 3-0 doubles triumph from Katie Dunmore and Shirley Povey helped them stay unbeaten by beating Fenway A 10-8.
