Matt placed 62nd overall with the team’s positions: East Midlands A 2nd, B (Girls) 4th and C 7th.

• The latest round of the Lincs League hosted by Boston Wheelers saw 13 Spalding riders in action.

Continuing their consistent season, Adam Ellis and Sam Bentley both took 4th spot in their category in a field of 128 reduced at the end by the conditions to 117. Shane Norton, Gary Bentley and Ollie Fensom took 15th Vet, 11th Vet and 6th Junior respectively and all others finished.

She led home a strong U14 squad which took 9th, 10th and 12th in the boys’ race for Reece Moradkhan, Jacob Santry and Robert McAndrew and 19th and 22nd in the girls’ race for Megan Kendall and Sophie Wright.

The Under 12s were equally impressive with the overall win going to Jake Norton, a fine 3rd place to Cameron Nielson, Tom Wright in 5th, Ben Norton 7th, Bryn Richards in 9th and Molly Peel finishing 15th to claim 2nd girl on the day.
