CROSS COUNTRY: Mother and daughter duo boss Harriers event
It was a family affair as Bourne Town Harriers held its annual Members Christmas Handicap race through Bourne Woods.
Leah Clark and mother Karen Clark won the junior and senior races respectively, making it a great day for the family.
With all members setting off at different time slots based on their handicap, it was simply a case of chasing down the athlete in front of you.
Leah Clark finished just ahead of Ethan Ellison and Megan Ellison to secure first place in the junior race.
Also competing were Beth Howells, Alex Stubley, Molly Bennett, Oliver Smith, Martin Clarke, Dan Lawrance, Keeley Caven and Sam Hare.
In the senior race, Karen Clark pipped Joe Howells by a few seconds, with Keith Evans third. Other seniors were Shaun Hill, Mick Howells, Sue Stevens, Roland Stevens, Mark Ellison, Richard Houghton, Richard Pearson, Penny Lamb, Matt Grace, Paul Beland, Louise Swallow, Peter Swallow, Brian McLean, Rob Caven, Jo Bradshaw, Rachel Kemp, Dave Grace, Mark Cochran and Malcolm Scriven.
• BTH’s main Club training night is on Tuesday’s starting promptly at 6.30pm, while junior specific training is on Fridays from 6-7pm. A further senior training night is on Thursdays.
