As Pinchbeck Cricket Club begin preparations for the 2013 season, they took time to reflect on last seasons’ achievements at their annual dinner and awards evening last Saturday.

Youngsters Danny Jackson and Harry Waine featured prominently in the prize giving at the Woodlands Hotel bash.

Jackson collected both the batting and most improved player trophies, while Waine took the bowling award. In addition, both shared the coveted players’ player of the year gong.

South Lincs and Border League side Pinchbeck were also able to welcome and introduce their new sponsors MRN Recruitment, who presented the team with a new shirt for the upcoming season.

Pinchbeck now look forward to beginning their pre-season winter net sessions on Wednesday, February 6 at Spalding Grammar School sports hall.

And the club are eager to attract new members and bolster the squad for 2013 division three campaign.

Anyone with an interest in playing cricket is encouraged to join the sessions, which take place from 6-8pm and continue weekly up to the start of the new season in mid April.

The net sessions will also be supported by a county coach.
