Bourne Grammar School’s top year seven basketball team saw off 14 other sides to win the annual South Lincs ‘Superzone’ 3v3 competition at Kirton Middlecott School.

The Grammar ‘A’ team played exceptional basketball, winning both league games 16-4 (Spalding Grammar ‘B’) and 14-4 (UAH ‘A’) before progressing to the semi-final, where they triumphed 14-4 over rivals Bourne Academy.

The final against Haven High was expected to be a difficult affair and the scores stayed close in the early stages.

However, the Bourne boys had the advantage of superior movement and height, finishing with an impressive 16-6  victory and regaining the title they lost last year.
