SUCCESSFUL Spalding Volleyball Club are inviting new players to give their sport a try this summer.
From this Saturday morning, Spalding will be training at the Castle Sports Complex tennis courts between 9am-11am, running all the way through to September 3.
Anybody wanting to learn how to play or simply have a quick refresher is free to join the sessions, which are supervised by coaches from award winning clubs.
People signing up will join a club with a winning mentality.
Spalding Juniors are the current holders of the U/12 girls and U/13 boys ‘Lets Play Volleyball’ East Midlands championship – for the second year in succession.
Spalding Youth Volleyball were also the first volleyball club to achieve Clubmark and have previously won the coveted Lincolnshire Sports Partnership Community Club of The Year.
Not to be outdone, the adult team has won or finished runner-up in at least one competition for the last four years and are now generally regarded as one of the teams to beat locally.
The events are open to anyone over eight years of age and adults.
But for young people who show improvement throughout the sessions, there will be the opportunity to try the certificated ‘Volleyskills’ award approved by Volleyball England.
Volleyball is an Olympic sport and Spalding are proud of the fact they can cater for any players of any age group.
