Spalding Triathlon Club toasted four different category winners at the Woodhall Spa mini-triathlon.
The event served as the final part of the ‘One Step Beyond’ mini-series and was also the penultimate leg of Triathlon England’s East Midlands adult series.
With some 16 members competing in a field of over 500, Spalding Tri were very well represented.
They all took on a 400m swim in a 33m outdoor pool, a 24km bike ride and a 5km run in the beautiful town setting.
The excellent Chris Pratt was first home for the club in 63 minutes, making him ninth overall.
Three age group category ‘adult series’ winners followed, with Alistair Rudd (50-54 age group) finishing in 67 minutes, Callum McPartlin (20-24) clocking 71 minutes and Michael Staines (55-59) crossing the line on 72 minutes. Spalding Tri’s fourth age group winner was Angela McGill with a time of 82 minutes.
Overall it was another great day out for the club, with many members coming from Spalding to show their support for those competing.
