Spalding Triathlon Club’s Charlotte Taylor won her age group at the British Championships in Liverpool.
Competing in her first Olympic-distance triathlon, the youngster clocked a time of 2:07:37, which proved fast enough to qualify for the World Age-Group Championships in London in September.
The athletes raced over an Olympic distance course of a 1,500m swim in the docks, a 40km cycle and 10km run.
Of the other Spalding athletes taking part, Chris Pratt put in a strong performance over all three disciplines to finish in 2:04:52, which placed him 27th in the 25-29 age category. Ryan Hart also raced well to place 28th in 2:12:14.
Aimee Stocker finished 42nd in her age group in 2:33:15.
