South Holland boasts a national champion after Samuel Archer shone at the UK National Schools Trampoline finals.
The Monkshouse School youngster was in incredible form in the under-11 category, taking a stunning first place at the Cannock event.
Golden boy Archer was one of a number of local youngsters competing at the national competition – and all are members of Spalding’s Abbey High Fliers club.
Also collecting medals were the Southview Community Primary School (Crowland) team of Jessica Ringsell, Georgia Kennedy, Lauren McDonald and Rebecca Clarke.
The quartet were runners-up in the under-11 team event, which represented a sensational showing.
Chelsea Cooper-Ellis, of St Pauls Primary School in Spalding , was another in great form in the under-11 group.
She placed a super seventh in the individual ranks.
That was just ahead of Southview’s Ringsell, who was an excellent tenth. Also finishing tenth was Alice Banks from Spalding High School in the under-15 category.
The success of the youngsters marks the end of a long slog to reach the finals, which started in late 2012.
