TABLE TENNIS: Plea to help league to continue

The summer is over and schools are back so Spalding and District Table Tennis League is starting to look towards its new season.

The summer was very much a thing of two halves with poor attendance to begin with, but picking up in the latter part.

A number of people expressed an interest in playing in the league during the coming season, and so now the practice sessions start in earnest and hopefully we can put together a programme.

There is still room for further entries, whether as a team or just as an individual who would like to join others to make a new team.

In addition we are hoping that those who have shown an interest in our sport but as yet do not wish to commit to the league will continue to come along.

It is our intention to keep a table or two for visitors and they can be assured of a warm welcome.

We want our sport to flourish and for the league to reach its centenary, but we need to be open and attractive to visitors or how else will our sport continue?

Whether you are a member, ex-member, someone wishing to return to the sport or just looking to try something different come and see us on Wednesday evenings from 7.30pm.
